Super light (only 500g/pair UK 8s) approach shoe for boulderers and rock jocks. Smooth stealth rubber at the front for maximum friction when boulder hopping or doing easy routes/problems and a dotty tread at the rear for grip when descending. Lighweight breathable uppers with an elastic strap at the rear for attaching to a krab so they can be clipped to your harness, rucksack or bouldering mat.
The Dæscent is a comfy shoe, ideal for road trips and for hanging around classic climbing areas such as Font, Hampi, Hueco Tanks, Yosemite, and Joshua Tree. It is not really suitable or robust enough for approaching UK mountain crags due to the smooth nature of the sole and the lightweight materials used in the uppers.
It is also a great shoe for carrying in the alps and greater ranges, to slip on in place of mountain boots, for the occasional more technical rock pitch.
NB. These are sized small - so order half a size bigger than you would normally wear.
