Sorbothane is a unique synthetic material which mimics the characteristics of human flesh. Its molecular structure allows it to recover its shape completely after each "shock" and, used as an insole in footwear, it absorbs 94.7% of the shock waves caused by walking or running on hard surfaces. That means it reduces muscle fatigue, helps protect weak joints and eases the strains on ligaments and tendons.
These footbeds take up almost double the room of most standard insoles that they will be replacing, so they are not a good idea if your boot is already a tight fit, but they can be useful if it is a bit too roomy. You may need to trim the toe area to fit - this is easily done with a pair of scissors.
