A technical boot for Himalayan mountaineering and the extreme demands of cold environments. Very contained external volume and with a weight 15% less than the previous version - the lightest boot of its category. It features a movable collar that allows easy fitting and precision closure. It has a new highly insulating sole, with anti-abrasion rubber reinforcements, suitable for step-in crampons.
Gaiter: Elastic and breathable Cordura® for the upper part. 100 percent antiperforation Kevlar® fabric, with UV rays protective PU coating. PE insulating barrier. Special UV rays highly resistant and waterproof Riri Storm® zipper.
Removable inner boot: Polyamide external layer. PE closed cells foam padding, with ventilation holes. Tri-dimensional structured polyester lining.
Removable insulating footbed.
Insole: 5 mm insulating structured carbon fibre, with polyester central insert PE and aluminium insulation.
Sole: Highly insulating material with anti-abrasion rubber inserts.
Outer boot: High tenacity Nylon upper, with dual density PE padding and lined with a thermoreflective aluminium facing.

We only stock a limited size range of these, but the importers generally have sizes 42-47. Smaller sizes may be available as a special import from Italy.
NB The sole unit of this boot is made of very lightweight material that is only robust enough for use on snow and ice with the occasional bit of rock and probably will only last for two expeditions. Thus it is ideal for 8000m peaks but not perhaps for Aconcagua etc where much of the ascent is on scree. However the sole can easily be replaced with a standard rubber sole unit once it has worn out.
