Tape by the Metre

Few people make their own slings these days - pre-sewn ones are relatively cheap and much stronger and lighter. However winter and alpine climbers generally carry a few metres of "abseil tat" in case of emergencies and other abseil descents. This can be used to form a loop round a flake or through a thread or insitu piton (it is worth carrying a knife to chop old tat out of the way, though bashing it against the rock with your adze works well if you're stuck). Use a tape knot to join the two ends together and leave good tails to allow for slippage.

To order, select the total number of metres that you want. If you want this cut into more than one length then please specify this when you check out.
