"Aha!" you can almost imagine the OR researchers cry triumphantly, "We have a cunning plan!"
The Shapeshifter is a thin, very stretchy, wind resistant balaclava that thinks it is also a neck gaiter and also a face mask and also a hat and weighs not far short of zilch! In fact it's a great bit of emergency gear that should cut down on the spare clothing you need to carry.
Wear it as a neck gaiter or beanie and pull it up or down to turn it into a face mask or balaclava depending on the foulness of the weather.
Two plastic press studs seal the balaclava face hole when it's not being used as a balaclava and an elastic drawcord with a fairly unobtrusive small cord grip allows it to be opened up into a tube and turned into a neck gaiter.
Carry this and a woolly hat and we think that should do you for most winter outings.
It also makes a great spare bit of kit for a group instructor to carry in case one of his/her charges loses their hat/balaclava etc.
Made from Thermodynamic fabric; durable nylon face and looped polyester interior to provide warmth and comfort in cold, wet conditions.
One size which also labelled L/XL but is in fact more L than XL.
