This long established and excellent steel ice screw has been improved by using a bigger wind in knob and a better tooth design so that it bites more quickly. In addition the hanger now incorporates two clip in points for easier organisation on belays. Razor sharp with a fold down handle making one handed placement a breeze. Probably (and quite rightly) the most widely used ice screw on the planet. Superb!
NB BD advise not using a Grivel Ice Screw sharpening machine to sharpen these screws as they say that you will not achieve as good a result as if you follow the instructions for hand sharpening that come with the screw. Having said that, plenty of folk do use the Grivel machine.
