The Pirana is a canyoning descender for single or double rope. It offers three different braking positions to choose from, according to the weight of the user, the rope diameter in use, and the terrain. It also offers 2 points where the rope can be angled to adjust the descent speed. A plastic attachment also ensures perfect support for some types of HMS locking carabiner (though be warned not all). The Pirana can also be used to belay the leader. For use on semi-static rope from 8-13 mm.

The Attache Screwgate Karabiner is designed to complement the Pirana Descender, with the bar of the krab being sized to form a perfect fit in the hole of the descender. Also ideal for attaching oneself to the belay, and for belaying directly off the anchor, when the pear-shaped design and round cross-section of the Attache facilitates belaying with a Munter hitch.
A compact carabiner, it is easily manipulated with one hand and its light weight makes it the ideal companion for mountaineering, rock-climbing and canyoning. 74g.

An adjustable sit harness specially designed for canyoning and made of much more durable materials than a climbing harness. It features a removable and replacable PVC seat which protects the leg loops and oversuit, giving extended equipment life, a clearly differentiated attachment point for easy clipping in and abseil gear attachment and two strong gear loops. 700g approx.

A rope with similar properties to low-stretch (abseil) rope, but constructed differently, the Canyon is a low stretch rope with a polyamide sheath for abrasion and frictional heat resistance, but with a polypropylene core to make the rope light enough to float. Thus this rope will not sink to the bottom of pools - an essential safety factor when canyoning. This rope should not be used for rope access, rescue caving or climbing because polypropylene does not have such good energy absorption as nylon. Rope diameter 9.5mm, Weight per metre 54g, Breaking load 1950kg, Elongation 2%, Number of Factor 1 falls (55kg) 10.
Canyon Rope is supplied on 200m reels and we will cut it in 50m increments only.
