|  Rab Carrington: has been one of Britain's top mountaineers for a lot longer than he has been making sleeping bags and clothing, and he has been making bags for nearly twenty years. His experience of climbing in such inhospitable climates as found in the Himalayas, Patagonia and Scotland in winter has resulted in production of what is rightly recognised as one of the finest and most specialised range of down and expedition clothing on the market. Rab himself has now sold the company, but the new owners are maintaining the same high standards that he set. RAB equipment is made using sterilised washed and sorted down from mature Eastern European Geese. This results in down in smaller clusters that lofts better, and is much cleaner than much of the Chinese down that is used in many cheaper sleeping bags and duvet jackets. Because RAB down is so clean, it is less likely to irritate allergy sufferers: most allergies are to the dust in the down, not the down itself. NB Please note, that we do not stock a full size range of the more technical products though these are generally available quickly to order.
