Rucksacks & Bags

There is so much potential cross-over in rucksacks that it is hard to categorise them in a meaningful way - one man's 35 litre crag sack may be another's lightweight alpine ski-touring sack and yet another's high altitude summit attempt pack, whilst its creators considered it ideal for long distance footpaths. With the benefit of years of experience we have present sacks according to their capacity and then recommended each one as suitable for walking, cragging, alpinism etc, however, just because a sack doesn't feature in a particular category, doesn't mean that you couldn't or shouldn't use it for that activity. For instance, virtually all sacks with side compression straps will carry skis and so could be used for ski mountaineering, but we have only classified those that we think especially suitable.
