  • A versatile four-season three part pole for ski mountaineering, alpine and Scottish winter climbing and expedition use. Features dual FlickLocks for a full range of adjustability and compacts down well to fit in your rucksack or duffle bag when it's time to lug your kit to the airport. An extended foam grip is a great help when contouring and keeps your hands insulated. It comes with both powder baskets and trekking baskets, so you can switch them over depending on what you are doing.

These are excellent poles for all round mountain use, summer or winter, UK, alpine or expedition. Not the lightest available but they are very robust and quite strong enough for skiing, particularly as the tips are not plastic, unlike most other poles, but are metal and are in fact just a continuation of the lower shaft so there is no joint. The flick lock system is much easier to adjust when its cold as you don't need to remove your gloves. I've used mine extensively over the years and they are still going strong.

Ive had a pair of these for a year and thought they were great... until I snapped one yesterday. I do tend to use at the full 140 cm mark when touring-which its designed to deal with but obviously not optimum for strength. I used it to stabilise myself after a hitting a bump and it sheered. I believed they were stronger than that...
