Alien

Alien

Alien is a brand of climbing hardwear owned by the Spanish firm tech Rock who also own Fixe and Faders. Alien cams were originally developed in 1988 by David Waggoner of Colorado Custom Hardware (CCH) who had the brilliant idea of inserting the springs within the cams thus making a much narrower head unit - they soon aquired a loyal following, particularly among Yosemite climbers who found they fitted better in old peg scars than anything else available. When Waggoner died, tech Rock bought the brand and have further developed the cams as well as applying the brand name to other climbing gear.
