Topo guide to sport and trad limestone climbs in Sicily (the island off the south-western tip of Italy). Lots of great looking crags, mainly in the east, offering both single and multi pitch climbs and a good variety across the grades.

All the trad climbing described in this guide is in fact semi-bolted with bolted stances and frequently bolt protected cruxes, nevertheless the authors recommend carrying slings, a set of nuts and a set of cams and using double ropes on these long multipitch routes. The sport routes of course only require a single rope and a dozen quickdraws.

In this fourth edition, there are many new developments, starting with the new sectors described in Palermo and in Syracuse, the addition of all the new recently bolted routes at San Vito Lo Capo, and the updating of routes and grades. The chapters dedicated to bouldering and DWS are also new, activities practised more and more on the island. Syracuse by now has become an international area for deep water soloing, and the bouldering areas between Catania and Messina are being visited more than ever. Even the number of multi-pitch routes has increased, some of the big names in world climbing have left their mark on the highest walls and the best and most spectacular routes are between Palermo and Trapani.

Lots of lovely colour photos, line topos and a few photodiagrams.
