A guide to the Via Ferratas (Ferrate) around Cortina in the Dolomites of north-east Italy.

Twenty five Via Ferratas are described and well illustrated with photos and photo diagrams, though some maps would have been a nice addition! Although there is much duplication with the Cicerone guide (Via Ferratas of the Italian Dolomites Volume 1), there appear to be some in here that are not in that volume.

Described are: VF Ra Gusela, VF dell’Averau, Ferrata della Furcia Rossa e Senterio della Pace,VF Tomaselli, Cengia Veronesi, Senterio Kaiserjeger e Galleria del Lagazuoi, Strada degli Alpini, Scala del Meneghel, VF Giovanni Lipella, La Grotta di Toffana, Sentiero Astaldi, Ferrata Giuseppe Olivieri, Sentiero Olivieri, Ferrate Aglio e Tofana di Mezzo, VF Formenton, VF Ettore Bovero, Senterio dei Canyon e delle cascade della Val di Fanes, VF Michielli Strobel, Terza Cengia del Pomagagnon, Ferrata Zumeles, VF René de Pol, VF Marino Bianchi, Sentiero Ivano Dibona, VF Sci Club, VF Francesco Berti, VF Alfonso Vandelli. Of these, Ferrata della Furcia Rossa e Senterio della Pace, Cengia Veronesi, Scala del Meneghel, La Grotta di Toffana and Senterio dei Canyon e delle cascade della Val di Fanes do not appear to be in the Cicerone guide - though they may be under different names.
