Commuter belt climbing on the soft sandstone crags of Harrison's Rocks, Bowles Rocks, Stone Farm and similar venues in Kent and Sussex, where top-roping or soloing are the accepted ethics of the area.

This guide also covers the seacliffs of South-East England which are mainly chalk, though the cliffs near Hastings are described as sandstone intermingled with clay and mud, providing a variety of climbing experiences (yum !!). Some chalk cliffs are just about solid enough to be climbed conventionally, others require the use of ice axes and crampons with Warthogs for protection - gripping stuff, and that's just looking at the photos!

Loads of colour photodiagrams and action shots.
