A dual point version of the G20, using the same "mono-rail" technology and giving a very light technical ice climbing crampon. This new "Plus" version has replaceable front points.
Perhaps do buy if you are a Mick Fowler type pushing the limits in the high Himalaya and maybe for pure water ice stuff. Perhaps don't buy for poddling around on the Ben, for which G14s or Cyborgs would probably be a better choice.
The Crampomatic is a full step in system that gives a very secure fit but can only go on fully rigid boots with step in binding welts at front and back.
Size range 37-48.
NB This crampon is designed for steep ice climbing and buttress routes of around Scottish V and above. It is not a suitable crampon for hill walking or general mountaineering. Fit only to a B3 Mountaineering Boot.
Weight: ca 969g/pair.
Now includes a set of alternative centre "Twin Bars", designed to cope with modern boots that have a large hollow in the instep.
