A Velcro version of the Anasazi, ideal for hot-rocking where cooked toes can be quickly relieved.
The iconic Anasazi is 5.10's most popular, all-around climbing shoe. Equipped with a versatile Stealth® C4™ outsole, it climbs equally well both indoors and out as it is able to smear on soft, porous surfaces such as sandstone. The lined, synthetic upper will not stretch out with use and its Velcro closure allows for a quick-and-easy, adjustable fit. Its high heel tension and stiff sole increase rigidity and support, making it ideal for long, technical climbs while remaining comfortable throughout the entire day.
Stealth® C4™ rubber allows climbers to stick to barely-there edges, lock into smears on micro cracks, and cruise technical terrain.
- Stealth® C4™ rubber sole (4.2mm).
- Lined, synthetic upper - no stretch.
- Velcro closure for easy on/off.
- Asymmetric toe box.
- High heel tension.
- Stiff edging shoe.
The highly asymmetrical last coupled with the essential tight fit means that these high performance shoes are not the most comfortable things in the world.
They are, however, suitable for vegans.
How does C4 rubber differ from Onyxx? These shoes were originally made in C4 and the change to Onyxx was fairly recent. To be honest, Needle Sports users of Anasazi Velcros could not detect any difference in use, though 5.10 say that C4 is better for edging. However, as the rest of the Anasazi range uses C4, we suspect it is as much to do with simplifying manufacturing as anything. One things for sure, the rubber is pretty darned tootin' (as they might say back where they are made!)
