Black Diamond
American climbing gear manufacturer, Black Diamond arose out of a decision to split legendary Yosemite based Chouinard Equipment into hardware and clothing arms. The clothing is now Patagonia and the hardware Black Diamond, both completely separate companies.
Black Diamond boast some excellent products in their range: Camalots, Micro Stoppers and Cobra Ice Axes spring readily to mind, but there are many others.
Black Diamond uses a rather bewildering number of size ranges. Men's garments may be sized as S,M,L etc, or by waist size in inches. Women's garments may be XS,S, M etc or US number sizes, 4, 6, 8 etc, which are two sizes smaller than the equivalent UK ones. This is all rather confusing - we have tried our best to make sense of it!

How to measure:
Neck: Around the fullest part of the neck, at the base.
Chest: Around the chest, just under the arms and across the shoulder blades.
Bust: Around the apex of the bust, just under the arms and across the shoulder blades.
Sleeve: From the centre back of the neck, across the shoulder, and down the arm to the wrist.
Waist: Around the narrowest part of the waist.
Hip: Around the widest point of the hips.
Inseam: From the crotch to the floor on the inside of the leg.
