Needle Sports' Staff - Jude Osborne

Jude looks far too young for someone who has been climbing for over a decade. Definitely a rock-chick at heart she has climbed all over the UK and in Spain, France, Australia, Thailand and the USA, but until recently had stayed away from all that cold white stuff unless on her snowboard. However two visits to Rjukan in Norway has left her keen to do more wintery things. Best recent leads include Aphasia, Sergeant Crag Slab (E2, 5b), and Triermain Eliminate, Castle Rock, (E2, 5b). Jude is our Office Assistant Manager.
Jude leading Creeping Jesus (HVS, 5b) Shepherd's Crag, Borrowdale.
Jude leading the amazing Bull's Head (21), The Freezer, Blue Mountains, Australia.
Getting a final route in before going for a XXXX (as they say Down Under). The climb is Swinging (17), Castle Crag, Arapiles, with Mitre Rock in the distance.

Iceclimbing at Rjukan, Norway: Above: Jude on the classic Rjukanfossen (WI4), and, Left: Jude in the lead on Lettvan (WI3).

Bond Girl Jude on Half Dome, Yosemite.

Above: Jude's feet breathing easy after an ascent of Snake Dike, Yosemite!

Left and Below: Jude, on a rare day off from climbing or cycling over Lakeland passes, horsing around with Jethro and paragliding over the Lakeland Fells.
