The 350 lumen Black Diamond Cosmo DFR Headlamp is a great water resistant light to have in your rucksack when you want one headtorch that will do everything and won't break the bank, whether it's cooking up some grub after a long day on the hill or finding your way down Helvellyn on a November evening. The only difference between this and the standard Cosmo is that the DFR includes BD's rechargeable BD 1500 Li-ion battery and does not come with any AAAs.
It has adjustable brightness, red light to save your night vision, and a strobe mode for emergencies, and is quickly activated with a dual-button interface. The Cosmo can be powered by BD's rechargeable BD 1500 Li-ion battery (included) or three AAA batteries (not supplied) which is great if you are on a prolonged bothying trip in the Highlands where you can't charge it up.
