The Opinel No07 Outdoor has the traditional "Yatagan" blade, its shape inspired by a Turkish sabre with a turned up point. The blade is ground by an exclusive curved profile that ensures the strength of the blade and allows efficient sharpening.

  • Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel is anti-corrosive thanks to the addition of chrome and requires no special maintenance. Its carbon content of at least 0.40% gives excellent cutting edge.
  • The painted white wood handle comes from French forests.
  • The stainless steel Virobloc Safety Ring was invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955 and allows the knife to be locked open or closed.

Blade length is given as 8cm but is actually 7.75cm (NB this is 3⅛" and just longer than the 3" for a general pocket knife allowed by UK law and it is also illegal to carry a locking knife in a public place in the UK without good reason - one needs a special purpose to carry this knife such as mountaineering or sailing).

Weight (approx.): 35g.
