Lake District New Climbs and Note 2018 is a small booklet produced detailing new routes and pertinent notes on summer and winter routes relating to the FRCC definitive guides published since 2007 (Gable & Pillar).
It covers all new routes recorded for the following guides: Gable & Pillar, Buttermere, Eastern Crags, Eden Valley & South Lakes Limestone, Langdale, Scafell & Wasdale, Borrowdale and Winter Climbs (but does not cover Dow, Duddon or Sport Climbs which are due new guides soon).
There are some interesting new crags - Castle Crag (Wythburn), Kirkstone Buttress, Kirkstone Upper Buttress, Pets Bridge Crag, Brant Street Crag, Piot Crag, Whelter Crag (no access issue now), Dog Crag, Thrang Crag (Langdale), Side Pike, Pike How, Upper Kern Knotts Crag, etc, not all near to the road ! Plus new routes from all around the Lakes - Gouther, Armathwaite, Raven (Langdale), Napes, Tophet Wall, Pillar, Raven (Ennerdale) etc etc - and winter routes.
