To mark the bicentenary of the first ascent of Pillar Rock, the FRCC has published a booklet of new climbs in Ennerdale, updating the 2007 Gable & Pillar guide plus the Ennerdale section of Lake District Winter Climbs (2012).
Highlights include numerous new routes on Pillar Rock itself, the resurrection of previously undocumented routes discovered in old log books, new climbs on low lying crags in the valley and the comprehensive development of Great Doup as a winter climbing ground.
