Céüse is a world class climbing area blessed with beautifully pocketed limestone rock, outstanding lines and magical location. It is famous for its outstanding hard routes on overhanging rock at sectors such as "Biographie". However, not all the routes at Céüse are hard, with many sectors providing a wide range of routes and styles across the grade range, including some multi-pitch routes up to 4-pitches long plus the odd trad route; there's even some bouldering.
This second edition of the guidebook describes over 700 routes, which are marked on colour phototopos, with the trad routes shown in a different colour. Detailed access information is included, along with approach maps and descriptions on how to access each sector.
Céüse is at an altitude of over 1,700m, so the best time to visit is late spring through to the autumn - the crag faces east, south and west, so it is always possible to find sun or shade.
