This is a huge tome that attempts to describe all things pointy and Scottish in one volume. Some would say that this is an impossible task, and to be sure things have had to be squeezed a bit when a fine range like the Galloway Hills is dealt with in a mere three pages, but nevertheless this is an excellent reference book that contains a lot of useful mountain information and quite a few historical snippets too.
Profusely illustrated with the author's own pictures and lots of maps.
