A lightweight, packable and breathable bivi made with ripstop waterproof fabric. It can be used as a standalone sleeping bag cover for alpine style mountaineering or for extra protection from condensation under a tent or tarp.
To keep the cost down, only the upper fabric is breathable, but you don't really need the bit you are lying on to breathe.
The entry is a slit with a rain gutter and snap closures so you can expect some water to get in if biviing out in the open in severe weather, but you can keep this to a minimum by lying face down.
