A warm and protective sleeping bag well suited to longer tent-based treks and those seeking out higher Himalayan passes. Ideal for mountaineering, backpacking and trekking.

Combining high-quality down, technical expedition-proven construction elements and a durable, water-resistant outer fabric, the Glacier 700 is a warm bag ideal for multi-day camping, trekking and climbing expeditions where night time temperatures drop below freezing.

With around 700g of minimum 700-fill power Down Codex-approved duck down offers exceptional warmth in cold environments. At the same time, the lightweight and water-resistant 30-denier Drilite® Loft™ outer fabric with recycled face copes with condensation and snow, ensuring a dry and comfortable night’s sleep whether in a tent or snowhole.

Trapezoid baffles across the top of the bag ensure optimal loft, reduce cold spots and prevent down migration. In contrast, at the foot of the bag, a six-baffle system focuses warmth around your feet - an essential in sub-zero conditions. In the hood, a five-baffle system ensures the down is optimally distributed for warmth and protection over long-term use.

Inside the bag, the time-tested EXL® elasticated stitching system minimises dead airspace, reduces drafts, and pulls the liner fabric away from the down, allowing it to loft effectively for maximum warmth. Meanwhile, a full-length Gemini™ entry zip baffle eliminates heat loss in this vulnerable area and is stiffened so it won’t catch in the zip. The low-profile magnetic Lode Lock™ closure and collar drawcords are effective and easy to use in the dark.

With a tapered Alpine fit to maximise thermal performance while minimising weight and a Good Night’s Sleep Temperature of -15oC, the Glacier 700 is ideally suited to multi-day camping in cold conditions or at altitude.

  • Drilite® Loft™ outer fabric with recycled face is lightweight, breathable and water resistant, and with PFAS-free DWR.
  • Around 700g of 90-10 Pure Duck Down with a minimum USA fill power of 700.
  • Alpine fit maximises thermal efficiency.

EN Sleeping Bag Temperature Ratings
EN13537 is the European standard for sleeping bags and requires a thermal manikin test which produces four temperature results — upper limit, comfort, lower limit and extreme. There is no legal obligation to use this standard though most reputable brands do, even non-European ones. There is an exemption for military sleeping bags and sleeping bags for extreme temperatures, ie a comfort range of below -25°C.
Upper Limit: the temperature at which a standard man can sleep without excessive perspiration. It is established with the hood and zips open and with arms outside the bag.
Comfort: the temperature at which a standard woman can expect to sleep comfortably in a relaxed position.
Lower Limit: the temperature at which a standard man can sleep for eight hours in a curled position without waking.
Extreme: the minimum temperature at which a standard woman can remain for six hours without risk of death from hypothermia (though frostbite is still possible).
For the purpose of these measurements, a "standard man" is assumed to be 25 years old, with a height of 1.73m (ie 5' 7", not very tall) and a weight of 73kg; a "standard woman" is assumed to be 25 years old, with a height of 1.60m (ie 5' 2.5") and a weight of 60kg.
