A very light double belay lanyard - as light and compact as a single one.
The Beal Expresso is a 75cm double lanyard designed to lighten your climbing equipment and help you to abseil safely. It does this by using an additional small Dyneema sling at 35cm. By clipping the full length into the belay, the short loop can then be used to rig up your abseil device (as per the third photo), meaning that you don't need to detach the top loop until you are safe to go.
The Expresso can be used as a single lanyard to anchor yourself while sport climbing and as a double lanyard for multi-pitch climbing. It is also suitable for crevasse rescue while glacier walking and ski mountaineering.
Please note that this is not an adjustable length lanyard.
