A very large HMS Karabiner that locks with magnets rather than a screwgate!
The classic HMS shape is ideal for constructing belays and its keylock nose prevents snagging on slings and ropes. "Magnetron Technology" uses two magnetic arms in the gate and a steel insert in the karabiner's nose to create an ultra-secure, self-clearing locking mechanism that can be easily used with either hand.
In use we have found these to be excellent for belaying when winter climbing where one would not normally dare to screw up a screwgate for fear of not being able to undo it again. It can also be used with a belay plate where its self-locking mechanism means that you don't have to worry about forgetting to lock it.
