An 8.3mm dynamic rope sling for clipping in, equalising a belay or extending an anchor point.
Apart from the fact it is dynamic, a rope sling has another advantage over a webbing sling: the rope’s core is protected from UV and abrasion by the sheath whilst with webbing all the strands are exposed.
The downside is of course that they are bulkier and weigh more - but a good option for outdoor ed centres, or indeed anywhere where weight is not so much of an issue and kit is used on a day to day basis so needs to be hard wearing.
