Grivel Long Regulation Bars (pair)

Extra long adjustment bar for G10, Airtech, G12 and G14 crampons.

Increases the size of boot that will fit to 49 or 50 depending on model.

Smaller sized boots can be accommodated without cutting the bars by removing the bars, turning them upside down, and swapping them over (to keep the curve correct). This allows small lugs to come into play which effectively shorten the bars by 7.5cm.

To fit these bars to newer Grivel crampons, where the front of the anti-balling plate is rivetted on, it is necessary to unclip the antiballing plate at the sides and fold it forward and then slot the bar in from underneath the crampon. Even with older crampons, it is easier to slot them in from underneath.
