The Grivel GX LT Hybrid is a lightweight 10 point foldable steel/aluminium crampon designed for fast and light mountaineering and ski touring.
The steel front section provides secure traction on snow and firmer surfaces, while the aluminium rear section reduces overall weight for efficient movement. Its compact geometry supports fast and efficient movement, while the exclusive Bi-Fold Bar allows folding while maintaining the precision of a steel linking bar.
LT construction reduces overall weight through optimised material thickness, maintaining durability for repeated use.
It comes with a choice of binding systems:
Dual-Matic: Can be set up either as a Cramp-o-Matic or as a Tape-Matic by changing the front binding. This means you can either have a full step-in with a wire front bail and fairly rigid bar, which is quick to put on in a blizzard and feels more rigid and secure than the other bindings, but you do have to get them on just right - rigid boots only, so fit only to a B3 Mountaineering Boot. Or you can have a semi step-in but, instead of the plastic toe cap, webbing straps are supplied - fit only on semi-rigid B2 or rigid B3 boots, with a step in on the heel.
Ski-Matic: Designed especially to fit modern ski mountaineering boots, and with a choice of an extra secure fastening system or a standard step-in (both are included).
Antibott (anti-balling plates) are included.
