An alpine climbing ice axe that would be equally at home in the Highlands. It is designed to be durable with a hydroformed shaft maximizes strength and stiffness while keeping the weight down. A fine-tuned length and pick angle make the Viper comfortable and easy to handle on variable types of ice and snow and the bottom flick-lever allows you to stow the bottom pommel when planting the axe in snow.
The Viper is a part of BD's I.C.E. System - which means the picks and heads are all interchangeable - but comes equipped with the standard I.C.E. pick and either an alpine hammer or adze.
