A walking and mountaineering ice axe that is ideal for winter hillwalking in the UK, glacier crossings, and easier alpine peaks.
This is a classical ice axe, with simple steel blade and adze, but with a removable plastic head cover for comfort and thermal protection. It is equipped with an adjustable leash with a rubber tip that fits over the ferule spike when the axe is not in use and guards against you poking someone in the eye when it is on your rucksack.
The practical grip and the aluminium shaft make it easy to handle.
