Designed for the icy cold temperatures and multipitch water ice climbs of the Canadian Rockies, this glove gives loads of warmth combined with excellent knuckle protection and a very good level of dexterity considering the warmth it delivers. We have found it an excellent Scottish winter climbing glove for sustained multipitch gullies and mixed climbs, probably the best design of all the gloves on the market.
By combining a waterproof and breathable Gore-tex insert with 170g PrimaLoft Gold insulation on the back of hand and a fixed 190g fleece lining, the Enforcer dishes out complete warmth and weather protection. The four-way stretch shell at the fingers keeps the Enforcer dexterous and supple while climbing and the TPU knuckle patch protects against abrasion. A low-profile Hypalon wrist strap with a hook-and-loop closure has been added for extra security and the long cuff keeps out spindrift. The Enforcer’s ice tool specific pre-curved fit, articulated fingers and wrapped pinky construction do their best to keep the hot aches at bay.
With practice, it is reasonably easy to place gear whilst wearing it, but if you do need to take it off, it slides off and goes back on easily.
