The Xenith Jacket project arose from ME's extensive research into a suggestion that hexagonal baffles are a more efficient trapper of warmth. They discovered that, as well as being warmer, hexagonal baffles were found to offer more weather resistance, faster drying times, fewer cold spots, and reduced down migration through the jacket’s life. Cold chamber and real-world testing in the mountains confirmed that the Xenith offers exceptional performance for its minimal weight and pack size, a marked step up from narrow baffle jackets of comparable weight.
Beyond the Xenith’s baffles are the familiar features that make ME down jackets so reliable whether you’re trekking, climbing, or ski-touring. An insulated Mountain HC Hood with EXL stitching works with or without a helmet, and internal drop pockets keep spare gloves or other accessories warm.
