Topo guide to bolted valley climbs from F3a - F6c in the Jura, an alpine area straddling the border between north-western Switzerland and northern France.
The guidebook covers the area from Lausanne on the shore of Lake Geneva though the northwest of Switzerland, via Biel, and Basel, to the north of Zurich. The climbing is situated in woods and gorges, amongst vineyards and old castles, and on the outskirts of towns and cities. Being at a lower altitude than the Swiss alps means that climbing is often possible late in the year.
68 separate crags are described (please click the coverage image for a full list), providing a good mixture of mainly limestone single pitch and multi-pitch climbs. Most of these are bolted but where trad gear is needed the guidebook list the cams and nuts required for each route.
A super guide with lots of good line topos and action photos, plus much other useful information.
