Specifically engineered for use in temperatures below freezing, the MSR Arctic Fuel Pump features extra-robust seals to prevent leaks in arctic conditions. It is field-maintainable and works with all MSR liquid-fuel stoves, except the Dragonfly.

NB Use only below 0°C (32°F) - see below.

Fits: MSR WhisperLite, WhisperLite International, SimmerLite, XGK EX and XGK Stoves. NB Does not fit DragonFly stoves - for this you need the MSR DragonFly Duraseal Pump. We regret that there is no Arctic model of the DragonFly Pump.

Be sure to use Pump Cup Oil with this pump or it will not form a good seal.

Why shouldn't you use the MSR Arctic Fuel Pump at temperatures above 0°C?
Answer: It’s to do with the rubber seals that are used in them. Above 0°C they are too soft and aren’t as effective, or in some cases don’t work at all. Early on there were instances of them failing to work until it was discovered that some people were employing the conventional method of keeping the pump inside their sleeping bag to stop it freezing.
